HRP - Mooring Product not generating tickets

CORE-9036

We identified and fixed an issue where confirmation emails could fail to send when an order contained a ticket without an associated booking. This means more orders will now be processed successfully, including cases where some tickets are not tied to a booking record.

Testing guidance

  1. Standard confirmation flow
    • Create an order with tickets that all have valid bookings.
    • Verify the confirmation email is generated and sent as expected.
    • Booking-less ticket coverage
    • Create an order with at least one ticket that has nobookingvalue.
    • Process the order to completion.
    • Verify the confirmation email is generated successfully.
    • Mixed ticket order
    • Create an order with both:
    • tickets with valid bookings
    • tickets without bookings
    • Confirm the email sends without error and only booking-linked tickets appear where expected.
    • Edge cases
    • An order containing only booking-less tickets (e.g. the mooring product)
    • Multiple booking-less tickets in the same order

Expected result

  • Confirmation emails are generated normally
  • Orders no longer end up in the mail dead-letter queue for this scenario (you won't be able to see this, but if you let me know your test booking values I will confirm that the dead letter queue is clear).

Release Notes – v3.2.6-rc2

Release Item: B2C Calendar Availability for Universal Credit (UC) Tickets

This update resolves an issue where the B2C visit-date calendar did not correctly reflect sold-out dates for Universal Credit (UC) £1 Scheme tickets when the basket contained a mix of ticket types. Previously, if a standard ticket was in the basket alongside a UC ticket, the calendar would show "High Availability" (green) based on the standard ticket, even if UC tickets were sold out for that date. The calendar now correctly applies UC-specific constraints to all dates, ensuring customers only see and select dates where all items in their basket are available.

Key Issues Resolved

  • CORE-9066: Fixed the calendar shading logic to prioritise UC ticket availability when a UC ticket is present in the basket.
  • Selection Enforcement: Resolved a bug where sold-out UC dates appeared clickable but would fail during the confirmation step; these dates are now clearly marked as unavailable and are unselectable.
  • Auto-Selection Logic: Improved the calendar to automatically default to the first available date that accommodates the specific UC ticket constraints in the basket.

Testing Steps for Customers

  • Verify UC Availability Shading
  • Add a mix of tickets to your basket (e.g., 1 x Adult ticket and 2 x £1 Scheme tickets).
  • Navigate to the "Select your visit date" calendar.
  • Verify: Dates that are sold out for the £1 Scheme must display as unavailable (red cross) and be unselectable, even if standard Adult tickets are available on those dates.
  • Check Auto-Selection
  • With the same mixed basket, observe the default date selected by the calendar.
  • Verify: The calendar should automatically select the first date that has remaining allocation for the £1 Scheme tickets.
  • Regression Test (Standard Basket)
  • Clear your basket and add only a standard Adult ticket.
  • Verify: The calendar should display the standard mix of green, amber, and red dates, and all available dates should be selectable as normal.

Release Item: Expanded "Pay by Email" Timeframes for Memberships

We have expanded the available payment windows for Membership Gift Vouchers and renewals when using the "Pay by Email" feature in the Reservations portal. Previously, staff were limited to selecting either 15 minutes or 2 hours for these products. This update aligns the membership payment flow with standard ticket orders, providing greater flexibility for customers to complete their transactions.

Key Issues Resolved

  • CORE-8670: Added missing payment completion timeframes for Membership and Patronage products.
  • Operational Flexibility: Enabled longer payment windows (up to 60 days) to support complex renewals and gift voucher distributions.

Testing Steps for Customers

  • Verify Payment Timeframe Options
  • Log in to the Reservations portal and initiate a booking for a Membership Gift Voucher or a Membership Renewal.
  • Select Pay by Email as the payment method.
  • Open the Time to complete dropdown menu.
  • Verify: Confirm that the following options are now available for selection:
  • 15 minutes / 2 hours
  • 1 day / 3 days / 7 days
  • 14 days / 30 days / 60 days
  • Confirmation of Selection
  • Select the 14 days option and complete the "Pay by Email" request.
  • Verify: Ensure the payment link sent to the customer correctly reflects the 14-day expiry window.
