This release contains a single fix since v3.4.1, for online card payments where the customer's bank asks them to verify the payment. There are no database changes in this release.

Card payments needing bank verification failing at checkout

Issue

Since v3.4.0, when a customer paying by card online was asked by their bank to verify the payment (3D Secure), the bank's verification screen could keep reloading before they were able to complete it. The payment was then declined or the checkout showed an error, and the booking was not completed.

Fix

The bank's verification screen now stays in place while the customer completes it, and the payment then continues to confirmation as normal.

Testing

Suggested: 1. On the booking portal, add a product to the basket and continue to payment.

Suggested: 2. Pay with a test card that triggers a bank verification (3D Secure) check.

Suggested: 3. Leave the bank's verification screen open for at least 30 seconds and check that it does not reload or reset.

Suggested: 4. Complete the verification and check that the booking confirmation page appears and the order is shown in the Reservations Portal.

Suggested: 5. Repeat with a test card that does not trigger bank verification and check that the payment completes as before.
