Release notes: POS v3.0.17.1

This release of the POS app for Bamburgh Castle contains one change: the open cash drawer option has been removed from POS devices, as Bamburgh Castle is a cashless site. Cashing Up is unchanged. There are no database migrations and no other changes to day-to-day use.

Need

Bamburgh Castle does not accept cash, so the open cash drawer option on the POS payment screens was not needed and could confuse staff.

Change

The open cash drawer option no longer appears on POS devices. Cashing Up remains available and works as before, because it is still used to close the sales shift and to enter totals taken through external payment methods.

Testing

1. Suggested: On a POS device running version 3.0.17.1, start a sale and go to the payment screen.

2. Suggested: Check that the open cash drawer option is no longer shown.

3. Suggested: Open Cashing Up and check that you can still enter external payment totals and close the sales shift.
